GMS Students of the Month

In years past, GMS would host a monthly Student of the Month breakfast.  Families of those students being recognized would come to the school on a Friday morning.  Students selected for “Student of the Month” would then be called down and surprised.  Certificates and prizes were handed out and those in attendance were treated to some baked goods prepared by the students in the GMS RISE program.  As with many things this year, our Student of the Month recognition needed a creative solution.  Last Wednesday, Mr. Murphy made arrangements to visit the homes of each of our Student of the Month recipients.  Each student was presented with a GMS cinch sack, a GMS t-shirt and a personally written card recognizing this accomplishment.  Students also posed for a socially distanced picture with Mr. Murphy. This acknowledgement of the students’ hard work was well received.
