GMS Parents, Guardians & Students:

As a reminder, there is no school tomorrow, Thursday, November 11th.  The first quarter ends this Friday and the second quarter will begin on Monday. Students will be switching into new UA classes on this date.   

We are asking for your help with sending your students to school with charged Chromebooks, masks and water bottles. Sending your student with a mask is extremely important if your child rides a bus to school in order to keep him/her safe as well as the other students on the bus.              

Dates to be aware of:                         

November 11th- No School, Veteran’s Day

November 12th- Quarter 1 ends, Grades close

November 15th- Quarter 2 begins, New UA classes for students                    

November 19th- Quarter 1 Report cards are available in Plusportals

November 22-24 are half days (10:30 am dismissal)

November 25-26 Thanksgiving break                              


Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher conferences are scheduled for Monday, November 22nd from 5-8 pm and Tuesday, November 23rd from 11:30-2:30. Parents have the option of meeting in person or via Zoom. Specific information has been sent home by your child’s teachers. Please be sure to sign up as soon as possible. If you wish to have a conference, and are unable to book a time, you can always reach out to your child’s School counselor to schedule a meeting at another time.


Yearbooks

GMS 2021-2022 yearbooks are now on sale. Please see the flyer linked below and reach out to Mrs. Higgins with any questions you may have.

Art Club                                

Art Club is held every Monday from 2:45-3:45pm. If you are interested in Art, please consider joining the group. Students must make arrangements for rides home if they plan to stay.


Weekly COVID testing at GMS

The National Guard joined our GPS nursing staff on Tuesday to help test students and staff who are signed up for weekly COVID testing. We have over 300 students signed up for this program. This will be happening every Tuesday and is conducted as soon as students enter the building in the morning.

Please reach out to our GMS School nurse if you would like to have your child participate in this program.

 Football Skills Program

Below is a link to register your student for our indoor football skills program run by the Gardner Recreation Department.  The program is open for students in grades k-6, and is a non contact program.

Rec Basketball          Please see below for information regarding this year's rec basketball program.  Like last Summer, we will be offering boys and girls rec basketball for grades 4,5, and 6.  (Biddy Ball will be offered for students in grades k-3).  If you are interested in registering, please use the link below.
