Slide presentation about black bears by wildlife photographer William Fournier who has spent much of his time wandering the hills, valleys and swamps of New England. In recent years, black bears have been returning to some of their former range, including the woods and fields around Central, MA. As a result, there have been regular sightings of black bears in local neighborhoods.

GARDNER EARLY VOTING SCHEDULE
Early Voting for the 2018 State Election will commence on Monday, October 22, 2018 and end on Friday, November 2, 2018 and will be conducted in City Hall.
Qualified Gardner voters may “early vote” in person according to the following schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; and, Saturday, October 27 from 8:00 a.m. until Noon.
Voters may also cast an Early Voting ballot by mail – applications are obtainable online at www.massearlyvote.com or at the City Clerk’s Office.

NOTICE OF ACCU-VOTE COMPUTER
BALLOTING PROGRAM TEST
In accordance with the provisions of 950 CMR §54.02, the City Clerk will conduct a test of the City’s Accu-Vote computer balloting program on Thursday, October 25, 2018 beginning at 8:00 A.M. in the City Council Chamber, Room 219, City Hall. The testing is open to the public.
The test shall incorporate a “test deck” of optical scanner ballots for the November 6, 2018 State Election, marked in such a way as to adequately test the computer program; demonstrate rejection of overvoted ballots; and test any other contents of the program which may have a bearing upon the accuracy of the count. The test shall include an audit of the accuracy of the test count.
