On July 6th Governor Baker signed into law Chapter 115 of the Acts of 2020. This new law allows all registered voters in Massachusetts the opportunity to vote by mail in any 2020 election.
Any voter wishing to vote by mail must complete and sign a 2020 Vote By Mail Application according to the instructions on the application. Vote by Mail applications are available for download and may also be requested by contacting the Elections Division.
Applications may be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office by (choose one of the following options):
- U.S. Mail to City Clerk, 95 Pleasant Street, Room 121, Gardner, MA 01440
- E-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Hand-delivered to the City Clerk’s Office or placed in the secure Drop Box in front of City Hall.
The deadline to submit a 2020 Vote by Mail Application for a mailed ballot for the September 1st State Primary is 4:30pm on Wednesday, August 26th.
